International Living has identified Greece as one of the top 10 retirement destinations for 2024, ranking seventh globally. The country is targeting wealthy retirees to boost its position as Europe’s Florida.
Greece’s attractive property market, lower cost of living compared to the U.S., and attractive Golden Visa Program are contributing towards this ranking, however potential settlers are advised to consider healthcare availability, particularly in less populated regions.
Costa Rica, Portugal, and Mexico top the list, with Panama, Spain, Ecuador, Malaysia, France, and Colombia also featured.
My Take…
I have never had Greece on my radar, although I would like to visit for an extended period and see what it is really like and if it could potentially make my personal top list.
