After 25 years in the California Redwoods, Mary Charlebois and Kevin Scanlon packed up and moved to Gozo, Malta, and they’ve never looked back.
Why? Cheaper living, better weather, excellent healthcare, and a warm, welcoming island community.
Their Social Security checks cover everything, with enough left over for savings and travel.
They enjoy a fresh Mediterranean diet, morning chats at the village café, and direct access to dream destinations across Europe.
Now three years in, they say they’re healthier, happier, and living the retirement they always imagined, stress-free, sun-soaked, and surrounded by the sea.
My Take…
Malt is not on my personal list of potential retirement destinations, but I hear lots of good things about Malta. Nice culture, great weather ,and a laid back lifestyle
