Marty and Jess Ansen, a retired couple from Australia have turned their love of cruises into a permanent lifestyle. Why? Two reasons:
1) Endless cruise vibes are amazing.
2) It’s actually cheaper than a retirement home!
Post-COVID, they took the plunge and booked a whopping 51 cruises back-to-back. They started their epic journey on the Coral Princess in 2022, did a quick Sydney stop, and are now Hawaii-bound.
Life on board is pretty ideal by the sounds of things. Delicious meals, nightly entertainment, and a side of dancing are their daily staples.
They beat cabin fever with separate hobbies: Marty’s into deck sports, while Jess is into quizzes and bingo.
They occasionally catch up with family during port visits.
My Take…
Personally I’m not a big cruise fan at this stage in my life, but now looks like it could be a viable option based on this Aussie couples experience.
