San Felipe is gaining notice as a comfortable spot for living, working, or retiring in Mexico.
Once a small fishing town, it now hosts a growing expat and retirement community along the Sea of Cortez.
With warm year-round weather and easy U.S. access via Mexicali, it attracts newcomers seeking an affordable coastal lifestyle.
The economy revolves around fishing and tourism, with real estate and eco-home developments expanding. Basic healthcare, local amenities, and desert-sea scenery add to its appeal.
San Felipe continues to evolve, quiet, sunny, and open to those looking for a relaxed, community-centered life on Baja California’s coast.
My Take…
Mexico is not on my ultimate retirement destination list, despite spending a lot of time there and loving it. That said, it’s great if you’re from the US, just a skip and a jump 🙂
