America’s retirement crisis sees almost half of 55 to 66-year-olds without savings.
BlackRock, an investment management firm, aims to address this by launching target date exchange-traded funds, enabling savers to manage their finances more efficiently.
This comes as 57 million Americans lack 401(k) access and surveys show a lack of confidence in future security.
Providers now also offer free financial advice. The Secure 2.0 Act should further assist future retirees and state-led solutions are gaining momentum.
My Take…
It’s not only the USA that has a retirement crisis, so do many other countries.
The lack of knowledge and planning done by individuals is scary. It’s as if many are waiting for the Government to take care of them or just lost hope.
You have to be proactive and educate yourself and plan for the future, as for many, it will arrive a lot quicker then expected.
