A YouTube creator based in Thailand is pointing new viewers toward a fresh video and a batch of deals tied to his channel. He’s offering a referral code, 20RURAL, through TapTapSend for people sending money into Thailand from abroad, which nets $20 US or £10 UK on a first transfer. There’s also a buy one get one free deal on his Lazada shop, Shaman’s Shed Superfoods, plus discounts through Surfshark and Holafly using his personal codes.
He also laid out some background for newcomers. He calls himself an expat rather than immigrant because of Thailand’s Non Immigrant visa rules, which require 90 day check ins and block foreigners from land ownership or certain jobs. He runs a health foods business with a work permit covering his YouTube work, and says he’s paid Thai taxes for over a decade through past ventures including an English school and jazz lounge.
He explained that foreigners can’t own land outright but can use superficies agreements for 30 plus years of control. He’s been with his Thai wife for 12 of his 15 years living there. Patreon and membership funds, he says, go toward supporting her extended family.
