Man Chooses Malaysia Over U.S For Retirement Due To Lower Living Costs

Andrew Taylor chose Malaysia over the United States for his retirement destination due to high living costs in the U.S.

Retiring at 60 after an administrative career, he took advantage of Malaysia’s retirement visa program, “Malaysia My Second Home” (MM2H).

Living now for a decade in Malaysia, Taylor resides in a two-bedroom condo in Kuala Lumpur costing $620 per month. According to Taylor, he probably wouldn’t have been able to retire in the U.S.

My Take…

Location arbitrage has been popular for the past 10 years and is now becoming even more popular.
