Retiring in Your Twenties Through Extreme Saving

Retiring abroad news from Retirement Utopia

The Financial Independence Retire Early (FIRE) movement, an online community that advocates for saving vast sums to retire in your twenties, is gaining momentum despite economic instability.

Individuals involved in the movement aspire to amass a retirement nest egg of at least $1 million through extreme saving and investing practices, with some professing to save over 70% of their income.

Early retirees in the FIRE movement maintain that the process has allowed them greater freedom, the opportunity to travel, and the ability to focus on passion projects. However, critics view it as a form of exclusive wealth hoarding.

My Take…

I have yet to come across anyone retiring in their 20’s unless they are bitcoin or family rich.
30-40’s yes I know a few, myself included.

For me personally it was more about mindset and knowing exactly what I needed to get started. I have found that my personal wealth has actually increased, as I now have more time to do exactly what I want. Work has become a hobby!
