A couple sharing their expat journey online has put together a new list, this time aimed at retirees. Weeks earlier, they posted their own shortlist of countries for a second residency visa, but since they’re not retired and don’t collect social security or a pension, that list looked different from what most retirees would need.
Now they’re flipping the script. In their latest video, the pair breaks down five countries they’d choose if they were retired and living on social security instead.
Topping the list is Panama, followed by Albania and Uruguay. Peru and Paraguay round out the top five, with Ecuador thrown in as a bonus pick. Each country gets its own segment explaining why it made the cut, along with a rundown of what’s required to qualify for residency there.
My Take…
Expat power couple, fresh off their working nomad visa list, now cosplay as retirees. Cue new ranking: Panama wins, Albania and Uruguay tie for silver medal energy, Peru and Paraguay tag along, Ecuador crashes as bonus round. They plug their toolkit and courses, obviously. Then the disclaimer: not experts, just vibes. Google before you pack.
